Apple has launched its new version of MacBook Pro with the new M2 Pro and M2 Max chips and the longest autonomy seen to date in a Mac.
The Apple company surprised the market starting in 2023 with the launch of its MacBook Pro. An improved version with up to 6 times faster than previous models thanks to its faster Intel processor and 96GB of memory.
Let’s look at each of the improved features of these new Apple laptops.
The main features that Apple highlights from Cupertino in the new MacBook Pro are the next-generation M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, with more efficient performance than previous models and a battery that lasts up to 22 hours, the longest autonomy to date in a Mac.
Other features that stand out from Apple are the design and connectivity. We will tell you in detail.
With the new M2 Pro and M2 Max chips developed by Apple, sectors such as art, science or app development will notice an improvement in performance, autonomy, connectivity and general productivity. They render effects up to 6 times faster or colour grading, which will be twice as fast.
And what is the difference between the M2 Pro and M2 Max? These are processors with some differences, among which we highlight the number of cores, with the M2 Pro having 16 or 19 graphics power cores, while the M2 Max has versions with up to 30 and 38 cores.
Another aspect that Apple highlights are that with its M2 Max chip in the new MacBook Pro, they have manufactured the laptop with the largest RAM, which can go up to 96 GB. With this RAM storage, data management would be superior to any laptop.
In the case of the M2 Pro chip, the RAM is also relatively high, reaching up to 32GB.
The energy efficiency of these chips will allow your device to be used for almost an entire day without having to plug it into the current. This occurs in the 16-inch MacBook Pro, whose battery allows 22 hours of video playback and 15 hours of web browsing.
The 14-inch version has 18 hours of video playback and 12 hours of web browsing.
It has Wi-Fi 6E, an evolution of WIFI 6 with improved connection speed and robustness, especially when many networks and devices occupy the connection space.
On the other hand, advanced HDMI allows the connection of monitors with a resolution of 8K up to 60 Hz and 4K up to 240 Hz. In addition, it has 3 Thunderbolt 4 ports to connect to high-speed peripherals.
The Liquid Retina XDR display has ProMotion technology with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, double the previous 60Hz models.
This increase in frequency means that up to 120 FPS or frames per second are now displayed, improving the scrolling of the operating system interface or during a game.
Apple introduces two new MacBook Pro models, each with two types of processors to choose from, making a total of 4 options:
